1. DONOR SELECTION

2. TREATMENT OF THE FEMALE DONOR
The female donor undergoes ovarian stimulation and ultrasound scans are scheduled to monitor follicle growth. Once the eggs have reached maturation, the egg retrieval process is scheduled.

3. ENDOMETRIAL PREPARATION
At the same time, while this is going on, the mother receives hormone therapy to prepare her endometrium for embryo transfer.
4. FERTILIZATION IN THE LABORATORY
The eggs are fertilised with sperm and the embryos obtained are cultured to the blastocyst stage (D5).

5. EMBRYO TRANSFER
One or two embryos are transferred to the uterus to produce the pregnancy.

6. SUPERNUMERARY EMBRYOS
Supernumerary embryos are vitrified (frozen) and stored in the laboratory.
